Legal aid provider full audit policy and methodology consultation

Overview

The Ministry of Justice is updating its audit policy and full audit methodology.  This work is part of a project to strengthen the current quality assurance framework for legal aid providers.

We have already consulted on changes made to our complaints management process and the introduction of a new limited audit process.

Through this consultation, we are seeking feedback on our proposed changes to:

1. the provider manual 'Part 2 -Audits'
2. a new methodology for conducting full audits
3. a standardised draft audit report template.

The responses to the consultation will be stored securely within the Ministry and used only for the purposes of improving the documents.
